About the Position
DP World, a global leader in logistics and port operations, is expanding its transport team in Dubai. We’re seeking experienced Drivers to operate our diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods within our Jebel Ali Port facilities and to designated locations across the UAE.
Detailed Job Description
Successful candidates will be responsible for transporting cargo, equipment, and personnel while adhering to strict safety protocols. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art vehicles in one of the world’s most advanced port environments.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Operations:
- Safely operate heavy vehicles (trucks, forklifts, terminal tractors) and light fleet vehicles
- Transport containers, cargo, and equipment between port terminals
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate transport logs and documentation
Safety & Compliance:
- Strictly follow all traffic and port safety regulations
- Adhere to hazardous materials handling procedures when required
- Report any vehicle defects or incidents immediately
- Participate in regular safety training sessions
Customer Service:
- Interface professionally with clients and port personnel
- Ensure timely deliveries meeting operational schedules
- Handle cargo with care to prevent damage
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory:
- Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license (minimum 2 years)
- A year professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Basic English communication skills
Preferred:
- Port/logistics industry experience
- Forklift operation certification
- Knowledge of Dubai road networks
