Job Description
Metropolitan Baking Company, a trusted name in the baking industry since 1945, is hiring Factory Workers for its production facility in Hamtramck, Michigan. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our bakery production line. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team in a clean, food-safe environment where you can grow and thrive.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate, clean, and maintain bakery machinery and equipment
- Load raw materials and ingredients into mixers and ovens
- Monitor production processes and report any deviations
- Package, label, and stack finished bakery products
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the shift
- Follow health and safety protocols strictly
- Support team members in achieving daily production goals
- Participate in shift meetings and follow supervisor instructions
Education & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred, not required)
- Previous factory or bakery experience is a plus, but not necessary
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and hygiene practices
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
