Sebastian Munoz verified his lady PGA Tour triumph with a play-off win at the Sanderson Farms Championship on Sunday. Munoz secures first PGA Tour title with play off win,
The Colombian holed a late birdie in guideline at the Country Club of Jackson to drive a play-off with I’m Sung-Jae.
A standard at the primary play-off opening was sufficient for Munoz, who turned out to be only the subsequent Colombian to win on the PGA Tour, joining Camilo Villegas.
“It was only an incredible day,” Munoz told the Golf Channel.
“Putts weren’t going in yet me and my caddie just remained certain, similar to it’s coming, it’s coming, it’s coming and when it came, this spot just emitted, it was wonderful. Simply astounded.
“[Joaquin Niemann’s success at the Greenbrier Classic] certainly gave me the conviction that I required, the little additional conviction that I’m sufficient, that I’m here and it’s simply insane.”
Munoz terminated a two-under 70 in the last round, yet required a sensational late birdie to complete at 18 under close by I’m (66).
He holed a 14-footer for birdie at the last before the two players made an anxious beginning to the play-off, wayward off the tee and with their subsequent shots.
Byeong Hun A (69) was inside and out third at 17 under, a shot in front of Kevin Streelman (64) and Carlos Ortiz (71).
