Baycrest, one of Canada’s leading healthcare organizations for aging adults, is seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers to join their dedicated team in North York, Ontario. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily living needs of seniors in a respectful, safe, and empathetic manner. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to make a real difference in the lives of others.
🩺 Job Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing)
- Assist with mobility and transfers (bed to wheelchair, etc.)
- Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client health or behavior
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans as directed by nurses and healthcare professionals
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records
🎓 Education & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- PSW (Personal Support Worker) Certification or equivalent caregiver training (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (required)
- At least 1 year of experience working with seniors or in a healthcare facility
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
