Submission! Watch Tyron Woodley choke out Darren Till at UFC 228

Tyron Woodley retained his UFC welterweight title last night (Sat., Sept. 8, 2018) at UFC 228 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, by submitting Darren Till via second-round D’Arce choke.

Till didn’t do much in the early going as he was trying to adapt to the champ’s speed and explosiveness. His range was a feeling out process for Woodley, but “Chosen One” eventually found his opening in the second round, catching Till with a mean right hand. Till dropped to the canvas and Woodley followed.

After a plethora of slicing elbows and bombing punches from top position, Woodley worked his way into side control and went for a D’Arce choke. Till allowed the champ to slide his arms in and eventually was forced to tap.

With this performance, Woodley locks down his third-straight UFC welterweight title defense and proves yet again that he is the best 170-pound fighter on the planet. Colby Covington seems to be next for Woodley and that should be quite the spectacle.
