If you purchased a seat for UFC Fight Night 137, which takes place this Sat. night (Sept. 22, 2018) on FOX Sports 1 from inside Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, you’re entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.
That’s because this weekend’s main event fell apart at the last minute. What started as Glover Teixeira vs. Jimi Manuwa subsequently became Jimi Manuwa vs. Thiago Santos when the Brazilian was felled by injury. Soon thereafter, “Poster Boy” was also bit by the injury bug, leaving us with Thiago Santos vs. Eryk Anders at light heavyweight.
Act fast, the refunds are only available until Sept. 21.
The ratings for this weekend’s mixed martial arts (MMA) marathon, which begins at 10:30 p.m. ET and features a six-fight main card, is likely to return below average ratings. Aside from the ho-hum main event, there isn’t much on the rest of the card — including the co-headliner of Alex Oliveiravs. Carlo Pedersoli — to entice casual fans to tune in.
