Bamford Produce Company Limited, a trusted name in fresh produce distribution, is currently hiring Apple Packing Workers to join our fast-paced production team in Mississauga, Ontario. This position involves sorting, grading, and packing apples and other fresh produce to ensure only the highest-quality products reach our customers. If you are dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a cool environment, we want to hear from you!
🧰 Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, sort, and grade apples based on size, ripeness, and quality
- Pack apples into boxes, crates, or trays according to company standards
- Label and seal packages accurately and efficiently
- Remove defective or damaged produce from the packing line
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the packing area
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
- Work as part of a team to meet daily packing targets
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment as needed
🎓 Education & Qualifications
- No formal education required; on-the-job training provided
- Prior experience in food packing or warehouse work is a plus
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly
- Able to stand for long hours in a refrigerated environment
- Basic English communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team
💵 Salary & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: CAD $16.50–$18.00
- Overtime pay after 44 hours/week
