Conor McGregor allegedly donates €10,000 to Irish boy in medical need

While mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar Conor McGregor is a ruthless tactician inside of the Octagon and on the microphone while talking trash to the opposition, he’s quite the generous individual outside of competition.

According a recent GoFundMe account set up by Grainne McCullogh, the mother of a sick Irish boy named Bryan who is in desperate need of medical help, McGregor has donated €10,000 ($11,621 U.S. dollars) to the cause. Bryan has been battling sepsis and is no longer able to eat or walk on his own.

McCullogh reached out to McGregor earlier this week via social media to thank him for his donation.

Despite his aggressive fighting style and alpha male mentality, McGregor has been linked to numerous charitable donations and acts of kindness over the past few years. He was honored earlier this year for his work with Our Ladies Children’s Hospital of Crumlin, he voluntarily helped a disabled man finish a workout at Straight Blast Gym, he is preparing to donate to first responders out of the money made from his new Proper No. 12 Irish whiskey, and he is now cutting a check to help out a sick Irish kid.

Pretty cool stuff, especially since we’re used to see “Notorious” throw bottles at the Diaz brothers and destroy a Brooklyn bus with 30 of his closest goons.

Only time will tell if McGregor can parlay this good faith into a victory over undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on Oct. 6 in Las Vegas.
