WWE RAW Results October 1st 2018, latest Monday Night Raw winners, video highlights

RAW kicked off with Dean Ambrose coming out alone for a change. Charly Caruso was in the ring and asked him about Strowman, Ziggler & McIntyre’s claims about him being unhappy in The Shield and whether there’s any truth to it. Ambrose said that it might all be true and he might be done with the Shield already. He said that he may just be waiting for the perfect time to stab The Shield in the back, throwing Caruso off her line of questioning.

He added that the Shield is a brotherhood and they will always ride into battle together. Just as Ambrose was about to leave, acting RAW GM Corbin came out and antagonized the Lunatic Fringe. Ambrose called him the world’s largest substitute teacher. Corbin let Ambrose pick his opponent out of Rollins for the IC title, Reigns for the Universal Title or Braun Strowman. Ambrose picked the last and largest option and the match kicked off right after.

Dean Ambrose vs. Braun Strowman

Strowman was in control for the longest part of the match. He caught Ambrose in a submission move where it looked like he was trying to rip his head clean off before resuming with his assault. Dean managed to reverse into a headlock but Strowman just tossed him away.

Ambrose took control with a dropkick but Strowman didn’t even flinch before he went for a powerslam but Ambrose reversed it into the Dirty Deeds but failed to get the pinfall. he followed up with a suicide dive before sending Braun into the steel steps. Strowman hit the powerslam and sent him into the barricades outside.

Another powerslam later, Roman Reigns made his entrance and charged at Braun in the ring. Roman hit the Superman punch and the match ended in a DQ in favor of Braun.

Result: Braun Strowman def. Dean Ambrose via DQ

Reigns and Rollins fought off Strowman but Dolph and Drew came out to support Braun and so did Corbin before announcing that this was not according to his plan and that Reigns will face Dolph right after while Drew will face Rollins later in the night.

Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler

Roman was about to put his title on the line but Corbin came out and announced it was a non-title match. Roman Reigns landed the first strike but Ziggler got the early momentum on his side after Reigns ran straight into the ring post.

Ziggler attacked Roman Reigns outside the ring and then hit him with a big move in the ring but Reigns kicked out.

Dolph Ziggler was squeezing Reigns’ head with a sleeper hold. Reigns got a burst of adrenalin and slammed Ziggler against the turnbuckles, breaking the hold. He hit a couple of clotheslines and ran right into him, sending him down.

Reigns hit a series of strikes and a big boot. Ziggler avoided the superman punch and raked his eyes when the ref wasn’t looking. He hit a Zig-Zag but it was a two count. Ziggler got ready for a Superkick and ate a Superman Punch. It was still a two count.

Roman Reigns went for the Spear but Ziggler missed it and tried to roll it up. Reigns got a short impact spear and picked up the win.

Result: Roman Reigns def. Dolph Ziggler

Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott

Riott was being cautious to start things off and kept her distance from Rousey. The two grappled before Rousey hit 3 Judo throws. Riott exited the ring, came back in and exited again. Rousey chased her but once she looked to get back in, she kicked Rousey and slammed her shoulder against the turnbuckles.

Ruby Riott seemed to be taking her own time, she was working slow and methodical as she pressed her knee against the back of Rousey’s skull.

Riott jumped on Rousey but got caught and was flung to the back. Rousey even took her in the gut-wrench position. before slamming her against the ring. She then put her in the fireman’s carry position, slammed her and locked in the armbar for a submission victory.

Konnor vs. Bobby Roode

Konnor pushed Bobby Roode to the turnbuckles and Roode kicked him while he was still holding on. Konnor hit him with an Irish whip and a stomp before having him in a resthold. Konnor went for an elbow drop but missed. Bobby Roode jumped from the top turnbuckle and started to get fired up.

Bobby Roode looked to go for a Glorious DDT but a distraction from Viktor saw Konnor hit a gut wrench slam and pin Roode for the win.

Result: Konnor def. Bobby Roode

B-Team vs. The Revival

Dawson and Axel kicked us off and Wilder was tagged in soon after while Curtis was in a hold. Dallas and Dawson were legal as the latter hit a spinebuster for a quick two count. Bo got a pinfall right after, completely by fluke and the B Team were celebrating on the ramp when the Authors of Pain attacked then from behind. AOP hit the supercollider on the B team in the ring before they stood tall in the ring with their manager, Drake Maverick.

Result: B-Team def. The Revival

Backstage, Dolph tells Strowman and McIntyre that Dean is about to crack and turn on his brothers. Braun says he needs winners like Ambrose on his team and then tells McIntyre to go out and win. He then looks at Dolph and says what they don’t need are “weak links”.

Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre

McIntyre slapped Rollins, angering the Architect, who sent Drew outside and hit a suicide dive. Drew with a big kick to the ribs of Rollins and followed up with a nasty hold. McIntyre sent Rollins spine first on the apron from the steps as we broke for ads.

Rollins hit a Falcon Arrow for a mere two count as the match continued. McIntyre had Seth Rollins in the highest part of the ring and Rollins went for the buckle bomb when Dolph Ziggler interfered and the match ended in a DQ.

Result: Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre via DQ

Dolph was beating down on Rollins when Reigns came to the rescue. Dean and Braun followed soon enough and it turned into an all-out brawl and the Dogs of War came out on top.

Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens

Elias and Kevin Owens were out for a little duet. He introduced KO as his brother, friend, and fan before KO reminisced about the time they teamed up against Cena and Lashley. A mention of the former Seattle basketball team Supersonics had the crowd riled up, with an eruption of booing. It was so bad, in fact, that we missed most of KO’s big promo about why John Cena is the worst ever.

Kevin Owens exited the ring before having any contact with Lashley. He slowly entered back and clutched his stomach from behind before getting thrown by the powerhouse. Lashley flung him again and pushed Owens against the ropes, causing the ref to force a break. Owens took advantage and kicked him to the gut before pinning him in a headlock.

Lashley shoved Owens down and forced him to retreat from the ring once again. Back in the ring, Lashley hit a neck breaker while slamming Owens against the turnbuckles. Owens moved away from a raging Lashley, sending him into the ring post shoulder first. Owens then threw him against it again.

KO took one big clothesline after another but delivered a boot to Lashley’s face. Elias and Rush got into it outside while KO was distracted and Lashley took advantage with a quick pin.

Result: Kevin Owens def. Bobby Lashley

KO and Lashley took out Leo and Lashley after the match and then the two hugged each other.

Bayley vs. Alicia Fox

Alicia Fox seemed to be getting the better of Bayley but Bayley got the better of her in quick fashion. Finn Balor was cheering her on like he was unhinged. Mahal tried to pull Bayley’s leg but Bayley slid through the ropes and kicked him. Balor hit the slingblade outside. Bayley avoided a scissor kick from Fox and hit a Bayley-to-Belly and got the three count.

Result: Bayley def. Alicia Fox

The Brothers of Destruction reunite

HBK Shawn Michaels was back and was hyping HHH’s match with Undertaker. He said that Taker made it personal and that Kane is in Taker’s corner for Super Showdown so Michaels will be there to support his brother, Triple H.

Kane’s music hit and the lights went out but when we came back The Big Red Monster was behind HBK. Kane hit HBK and Undertaker’s music hit and he too was standing in the ring as the lights came back on.

Taker and Kane were about to unload on HBK when Triple H made the save but took a chokeslam from Taker. Triple H got up again but The Undertaker delivered a tombstone piledriver and finished him off for good.

The Brothers of Destruction stood tall at the end.
